DanceCentral was designed to fulfil a need that dance enthusiasts and dance professionals have had since dance began. That of providing up-to-date dance information on what is happening where and when.

The best organised dance event will struggle to be successful if it is not well attended, and it will not be if it is not publicised effectively. Leaflets and word of mouth are all very well, but they have only local scope, and larger events need a more extensive catchment.
